On October 9, Grace Pantry held our Annual Volunteers Appreciation Party.
Grace pantry volunteers are about a third recipients, a third community, and a third Grace members. They give the pantry resiliency, compassion, and fortitude. What do they get in return? … feel free to ask them for the deeper meaning of their service, but at least they receive a meal and silly awards once a year from grateful Grace members.
“Volunteering does more than help people beat the odds; it changes the odds.” For so many of our pantry guests, the odds have changed because of our volunteers. God’s Grace is activated!
